Movember is here!!! Yes Movember. My stash is ready to go!!!
About Movember
The Mo, slang for moustache, and November come together each year for Movember.
Movember challenges men to change their appearance and the face of men’s health by growing a moustache. The rules are simple, start Movember 1st clean-shaven and then grow a moustache for the entire month. The moustache becomes the ribbon for men’s health, the means by which awareness and funds are raised for cancers that affect men. Much like the commitment to run or walk for charity, the men of Movember commit to growing a moustache for 30 days.
The idea for Movember was sparked in 2003 over a few beers in Melbourne, Australia. The plan was simple – to bring the moustache back as a bit of a joke and do something for men’s health. No money was raised in 2003, but the guys behind the Mo realized the potential a moustache had in generating conversations about men’s health. Inspired by the women around them and all they had done for breast cancer, the Mo Bros set themselves on a course to create a global men’s health movement.
In 2004 the campaign evolved and focused on raising awareness and funds for the number one cancer affecting men – prostate cancer. 432 Mo Bros joined the movement that year, raising $55,000 for the Prostate Cancer Foundation of Australia - representing the single largest donation they had ever received.
The Movember moustache has continued to grow year after year, expanding to the US, UK, Canada, New Zealand, Ireland, Spain, South Africa, the Netherlands and Finland.
In 2009, global participation of Mo Bros and Mo Sistas climbed to 255,755, with over one million donors raising $42 Million US equivalent dollars for Movember’s global beneficiary partners.

Big win ends in a shoot out.
Once again we dominated the game but were forced to overtime/shoot out. Starting the game my line was buzzing around creating tons of chances, one of which we capitalized on, but the ref called it back because man in the crease (later we looked on the video, nobody was in crease ughhh). First period ended in a 1-1 tie. My first shift in the second period will be a goal I'll remember forever. It was the prettiest goal I have ever scored. I got the puck in our D-zone and skated up the ice toedragging the puck around one d-man and than went wide and cut in tight on the goalie, putting it blocker side. It might not sound that great but its something that I told my teammates after, that most likely you wont see that again. I was amazed that I actually pulled it off. It was highlight material (tooting my of horn, yess!!). 2-1 now going into the third with a lead and looking like we could pull away with the game but shortly into the third it was 2-2. Overtime was closing in and then a shootout. I went in the shoot out again and low and behold, my usual move worked (cant say what it was might have some goalie blog followers hahah). We won the game!!!!
we now have 10 wins 2 shoot out wins and 1 shoot out loss. Still undefeated in regualtion!!!

Here is an interview of me after Tuesdays game.
SønderjyskE - EFB Ishockey 26/10-10
The second goal, is the goal I scored. Im #12 at the bottom right corner of the screen. I was a little excited after goal as you can see.
Than the last goal on the clip I pass to my winger Storm. You will see me come into the screen on the left side and pass to the middle where Strom takes a one timer.

still going 6-0 win!!!
Man of the match: Jason Guerriero - the little Canadian, worked hard and steady and seasoned his fine job with a single score.
This was what the League website had to say about me. Its all good but Im from the US guys hahah.
Another great team effort, but more importantly we beat my buddy Steve Birnstil for the 3rd time this year heyyyy ohhh, bragging rights!!!
I scored too, which is rare. I actually celebrated pretty hard after I scored and usually Im calm after putting one in. I get more pumped when I make a pass for an assist.
Overall it was a great game and Alfie our goalie is setting his shut out record every second of every game he doesnt allow a goal. I think its 7 games now that he hasnt let one past him. If there was a fantasy hockey league in Denmark, Alfie would be my #1 pick.

Make the call.
Ref missed another one!!!!
Holding is the call here. If you look close the puck is in the bottom right hand corner of the photo. I was just about to make a pass to my winger all alone in front of the net, but I was unable to due to the lack of motion of my right arm being occupied.
Still Rolling in the Wins!!
Alfie makes it look easy!!!
4-0 win gave us our 9 win in regulation. We have 1 shoot out loss and 1 shoot out win. Things are going well and even better for our starting goalie Alfie Michaud. He set a Danish record, going 266 minutes and 29 seconds without letting in a goal. He made Danish history last game on Friday where he was rewarded with a shut out again. Time will continue to tick as the next game starts. Congrats to Alfie and his hard work.

3-2 win in shoot out!!
Still rolling without a loss (knock on wood) in regualtion. We played well but made a few mistakes that caused our 2-0 lead to get all tied up in the 3rd. It was a tough game, physically that is. Odense the team we played ,are very physical and take lots of cheap shots. Sometimes I wish there was fighting in Europe. I say that now but who am I kidding, I've dropped the gloves maybe 3 times in my pro career. So the game went to OT (overtime) and we had some really good chances to put the game away but after 5 Mins of OT, it went to a shootout!!!! I was first to shoot, wait for it............ Yes I scored. I went with my usual, dip the shoulder fake back hand and shoot lower left. It was a good feeling to score in the shoot out, and to give our team the advantage from the start. Next they shot, goal. We shot, goal. They shot, goal. We shot, goal. They had the final shooter and he had to score to keep his team alive. Nope!!!! We took the win in a shootout. It was a tough road game but Coach was happy with our shootout win. Our next game is Friday against my buddy from college Steve Birnstil. Need to win that game to have some bragging rights!!

Still undefeated in regulation!!
3-0 win last night gave us our 8th win. We have a shootout loss which doesn't count as an official loss and we are currently in first place. Things are looking good for our team. My line is struggling a bit recently. My winger Mick Jensen is out for possibly 2 months and we were just starting to work well together. Plus import D man Dustin went home to Canada for personal reasons, so my line has been out of sync for a bit. Dustin will be back on Monday so hopefully we can get rolling again and put up some numbers. On a positive note I've been doing unreal on face offs. Face offs are a key aspect to the game becasue more the face offs won means more puck possession time, which means more offesense. Our next game is Tuesday.

9-2 Win
Doesn't look like it, but this is where I slash the goalies glove and puck sneaks in.
Always smiles after a goal!!
Signing some autographs after the game.
Canadian Thanksgiving at the Gooie's
Once again the Gooie family invited me over for another awesome dinner. We celebrated Canada's Thanksgiving. Myself and some other guys from the team enjoyed an amazing meal. I made home ade Mac and Cheese. It was a big hit with one of the players kids. The only bad thing is that they want me to host US Thanksgiving, considering Im the only American born player on the team. Hopefully ill get some help from a few of the wives who are from the US.

practiced ended early to rink on fire!!!
So today we had our standard practice when the one side of the rink started filling up with smoke. It wasnt that bad but the smell was real strong. Some guys were coughing during practice but I think it was just to get coach to cancel practice early haha. practice ended about 15 mins early due to the fire that was put out quick. It all started from 3 girls about 14-16yrs old, who lit toliet paper on fire in the bathroom. Really!!!!! Well they are in big trouble because people in the rink saw the girls before the fire. What a day!!
